  I'm actually looking forward to the good ole' holiday party at work. Aren't they always fun. It's probably one of the only times per year that most of us get the chance to socialize with co-workers. Hashtag funtimes!

Autonomy of Grey

Grey is one of those shades that says a lot while doing very little. It embodies simplicity yet chic, subtle but bold, cool and masculine yet feminine and modest all at the same time. I love the idea of an outfit with head-to-toe matching color, and that's exactly where I went with this outfit. To add a bit of dimension I played off the different textures of the cotton top and silk trousers.

Faux fur and Shearling

Keeping a bright face on is going to be super difficult for me this winter. Montreal's winter is in full spring and according to forecasters, we're going to have one of the most brutal winters, since ages. Until then, I'm planning numerous ski trips (well trips to ski resorts) in order to embrace the weather. On the flip side, the sight of freshly fallen snow is always amazing and puts me in a happy place.

I recently celebrated my 25th birthday and it was quite a success.      Seems like just about everyone had gotten the memo that fringe/bangs is a thing for fall 2014. The fringe/bang is no new fall do- but we have been seeing celebrities rock just about every kind of fringe lately. Some of them we are loving, some we're questioning and others just need to go! 1. BEYONCE | NEEDS TO GO!

Beyonce's tousled long locks and short blunt bangs caused quite the stir a few days ago after unveiling this new hairdo at the Gare du Nord in  Paris. and fans alike weighed in and seems like the majority of people want to see this hairdo disappear and I couldn't agree more. It's simply unflattering  for Beyonce and does nothing for her features.

Canadian Tuxedo

We all have those days where we don't feel like trying at all. Seems like I've been having A LOT of those days lately, and this darn weather Isn't helping! I had a date with a girlfriend and I really wasn't in the mood to get dolled up. So, I needed to pull together one of my effortless looks for this occasion. What normally works for me, is throwing together some comfy basics and combining it with some chic accessories-and that did the trick.

First, the hair. A sleek ponytail is my go-to hairdo when I'm in one of my lazy modes. I decided to wear these denim top and jeans from Twik by Maison Simons. To add  some spark to the attire, I added this eagle necklace and fur-collar vest  from Forever 21 and a par of flesh tone wedges from Naturalizer.

Vamp it up!

The vamp look is one of of my favorite signature fall styles. I focused this look around a Nacara lipstick in the color PANAMA. It's a dark berry lipstick, perfect for a vampy fall lip and perfectly suited to every skin tone, especially dark skin tones. As for the outfit, I went for a more minimalist look, wearing blacks and greys in clean cut pieces; like this jacket and leggings. Of course I had to take the look a step further by adding some metals and spikes into my accessories. enjoy xo

Fall Into Fashion: Smooth Transition from Summer

My favorite part of fall is the beginning.The transitioning from warm to cool weather. It's usually where we incorporate fall pieces into our summer wardrobes. It's not unlikely to see a mixture of bright and dark colors or light and heavy pieces. These two looks focus around a fall staple-the legging. Look One features a more dressed down look by pairing these black and grey striped leggings with a denim top and leather jacket. Combat boots, top off this day time casual look making it easy, warm and comfy. Look Two incorporates the same leggings with playful summer pieces like this flush-pink bustier and colorful earrings. A fitted blazer and suede wedges are added to satisfy a more evening attire.

Fall Basics: Hello BoyFriend

   Undoubtedly  fall has arrived without warning or concern, and that's OK. Tis' my favorite season... allowing endless wardrobe creativity. But before we get to the layering and mixing and matching patterns and textures, let's start with the perfect fall basics. For me, a leather jacket paired with jeans is the go-to attire. I distressed these Levi's Boyfriend Jeans and added a simple white tank and faux leather jacket for my quick fall look.To amp things up a bit, I paired the trio with these amazing Italian leather wedges.

   Lately, I've been loving all things preppy. Maybe that's just me getting in the spirit of back-to-school season. Today, I wore this sea blue top with a cute studded collar. I chose to pair it with ripped white jeans to keep the look fresh. The black gladiator heels from JUSTFAB gives the outfit a very edgy feel, and not to mention the multicolor shades gives it the extra kick it needs. enjoy xo

LITTLE BLACK BODY-CON DRESS

  A body-con dress should be on the closet staples checklist; especially a black body-con dress. This look can be glammed up or played down with some loafers or Vans.

I got this cute little body-con dress from a vintage store for $5. I know right!! Talk about a steal. I've been wearing this look to work on a regular basis. I normally toss a blazer over to make it more work appropriate. It's also a cute attire for those work-day dinner dates. The Rocker-chic gal is a well-dressed rebel. Don't get it twisted, this style personality is not about wearing black on black 24/7. The rocker-chic rebel enjoys pairing gungy with glamour for a kick-ass look. .We've seen this style redefined in the past few years as style icons like Demi Lovato, Kate Moss and Kristen Stewart began sporting the rocker-chic look. Glamorous and sophisticated pieces began being paired with  grungy, dark pieces from the rocker style.

It's not hard being rocker-chic. In fact, it's probably one of the easiest styles to achieve while being comfortable and fabulous.

So what do the rocker-chic rebels wear? well it all depends. But for starters, tons of leather, ripped skinny jeans, dark neutrals, and oversized or extremely tailored toppers are stables in their wardrobes. Whether its leopard, kitsch, floral or tribal - prints are definitely a thing this fall.  Be prepared to even see matching tops and bottoms in your favorite prints.  

Fringe and Things

The weekend is here! You can find me in flats and jeans, running around town shopping and doing groceries. This look proves that there really shouldn't be a toss-up between comfort, practicality, and looking fab.  Chic and easy is how I do it on the weekend. I'll normally reach for jeans or trousers paired with a basic tee or tank. For even more simplicity, I stick to neutral colors.
In addition, I got new bangs that compliments my shirt (tehee). This new hair-do paired with my TopShop jeans, fringed top and Aldo oxfords seems to be fitting, as the season begins its transition into fall . This all black look is so me. Enjoy xo

PERSONAL STYLE : CASUAL-CHIC

     Its important to have a personal style; its what makes your "mode" unique. This is MJ, her style is casual-chic. Meaning, she gravitates towards a lax look with added elegant and tailored pieces. Jeans and crop-top seems to be summer's trend and just about everyone's go-to look. MJ added this a tailored mustard jacket to this played down look and a cute heel for the added chic.

  What does a girl wear to a brunch with her girlfriends on a beautiful summer day? A cute lil' dress of course! I recently purchased this number from Boutique Olivier for $20 (someone say steal!) I thought I'd make the perfect day time outfit for a summer's lunch with friends. The color is super complimentary on my skin tone, also. I'm in love with the little cut out on he the front of the dress which gives this simple outfit an effortless crop top and skirt feel. I paired it with these cute  toe-outs with a one inch heel. They dress the outfit up a bit, giving it an uptown chic look. The green earrings give the look an extra pop of color. Chic? or nah..
